Bruce: G’day Sharon! Are you doing anything this weekend?
Sharon: Not much. I’m meeting a friend for brekkie in the morning on Saturday. Then I have some uni work to do. At night, I might go to the pub , have a beer or two and play the pokies...or I might just stay at home and watch telly.
Bruce: Well, I’m having a barbie on Saturday. I’d love you to meet my mate, Rob. He’s coming down from Brizzie.
Sharon: That sounds great. I can do my uni work on Sunday.
Bruce: Great. Don’t forget your sunnies and cozzies. It’s going to be hot and we can go for a swim. It’d be a good idea to bring insect repellent, too – the mozzies come out at night in summer.
Sharon: What food should I bring?
Bruce: Nothing, really. We already have everything we need for lunch.
Sharon: Well, in that case, I might just bring some bikkies and chockie, for later in the afternoon.
Bruce: Fantastic. Come any time after eleven.
