Cambridge English: A2 Key (KET) is our entry-level Cambridge English program. It’s designed to improve your ability to communicate in English - in simple, everyday situations. It covers the core English skills of listening, reading, writing and speaking.

Who is this course for?

Choose Cambridge English: A2 Key (KET) if you:

  • Have pre-intermediate English skills;
  • Are looking for a more intensive alternative to General English, and
  • Want a globally-recognised measure of English proficiency for employment, immigration or tertiary study purposes.

You will learn to

  • To understand simple written English
  • To understand and use basic phrases and expressions
  • To use the correct tense and sentence structure
  • To introduce yourself and answer basic questions about yourself
  • To interact with native speakers at a basic level
  • To speak about familiar topics such as hobbies, holidays and jobs
  • How to write emails, letters and stories.

Upon completion of Cambridge English: A2 Key (KET) you’ll have the confidence to progress to higher-level Cambridge exams such as Cambridge English: B1 Preliminary (PET) and Cambridge English: B2 First  (FCE).
