CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH: A2 KEY (KET)

A Cambridge English: A2 Key (KET) qualification is proof of your ability to use English to communicate in simple situations.

The exam tests all four English language skills – reading, writing, listening and speaking. During the listening test, we provide you with state-of-the art headphones to use.

It should give you the confidence to go on and study for higher-level exams such as Cambridge English: B1 Preliminary (PET) and Cambridge English: B2 First (FCE).

Be at the exam venue 30 minutes before the start of your first paper.

Bring your identification (ID). It must be the original document with your photo on it and in must be valid on the day of the exam.

Bring pencils, an eraser and a sharpener.

Your results information is on the Confirmation of Entry and Timetable that you will receive after the closing of the registration.

To access your results you need to register at https://candidates.cambridgeenglish.org/ with the information written on your Confirmation of Entry and Timetable.

For verification purposes, you can pass these details onto organisations that use or accept Cambridge English exams

If you lose the the Confirmation of Entry and Timetable, or your login codes, you need to email info@greenwichexamcentre.com.au

Fees: Fees must be paid in AUD when candidates register for the exam.Proof of payment must be sent to Greenwich Examinations Centre by email: info@greenwichexamcentre.com.au

Registration: The registration is confirmed only when the candidate details have been registered and payment has been completed.

After registering, candidates cannot:

  • Change examinations
  • Change to another exam session
  • Giver their place to another person
  • Transfer their registration to another examination centre

Late Registration: They are sometimes possible but will incur an additional fee of $50 or $100, depending how close to the examination date the registration occurs. Please contact us for more details: info@greenwichexamcentre.com.au

Special Arrangement: Application for Special Arrangements (e.g. dyslexia, hearing/visual impairment etc) must be made at the time of registration and no later. Current supporting documentation in English , no older than 2 years must be submitted for every applicant. Special Arrangements may not be possible for late registrations.

Exam Dates: Greenwich Examinations Centre will run exams provided there is a minimum of 8 candidates.

Eligibility: Cambridge English Qualifications may be taken by people of any age, race, nationality, but are designed for speakers of languages other than English. Photographic Identification must be provided by the candidate for every part of the exam.

Test Day Photos: Test Day Photos are compulsory for most exams, in accordance with Cambridge Assessment English regulations. Candidates who refuse to have their photo taken will not be allowed to take the exam and will receive no refund. Candidates aged under 18 must provide permission in writing from a parent or guardian prior to having their photo taken.

Results: Candidates can access their results online approximately 6 weeks after an exam, by going to www.candidates.cambridgeenglish.org. Before the exam date all candidates will receive a Confirmation of Entry and Timetable which contains a personalized ID number, secret code, instructions and the exact date of the results publication.

Certificates: The Certificates are available approximately 6 weeks after the results are published. Candidates who want their certificate sent to an overseas address must pay a shipping and handling fee of $35.

Refund Policy: No refunds can be given once a registration has been processed. A change in travel plans or a decision to withdraw on academic ground will not be considered.
