Thank you for your support and patience as we have been managing the challenging COVID-19 impacts on all of our lives.

We have been closely monitoring Australia’s progress in reducing COVID-19 pandemic shut-down measures and Greenwich English College (GEC) is pleased to confirm that we will re-open our campuses for face-to-face English language classes from Monday 15 June 2020.

We are making this decision to re-open our campuses after careful consideration of advice from the Australian Government and relevant health authorities. We will implement a range of specific hygiene measures and practices to ensure that our campuses are safe for students and staff.

Please refer to the important information below:

GEC CAMPUS RE-OPENS - MONDAY 15 JUNE 2020

Please pay attention to the following important Government rules and guidelines that must be followed to ensure the health and well-being of students and staff when on campus:

Ensure a distance of at least 1.5 metres is kept between yourself and others
Use antibacterial wipes and hand sanitizer provided around all campuses
Wash hands frequently
Follow all signs that show the maximum number of people in a room or area
Download the COVID app: https://www.health.gov.au/resources/apps-and-tools/covidsafe-app
Do not move chairs or furniture
All students to be at school on time and leave the premises immediately after class finishes
Break out areas will be closed/limited to enforce social distancing
Students may only use facilities on the level where their class is being delivered
If you do have any flu-like symptoms, please do not come to class / leave class immediately and go and get tested
Always follow teacher and staff instructions

IMPORTANT TIMETABLE UPDATES

You will receive a personal email with your start time, campus and classroom by Friday 12th June.

DAY STUDENTS:

General English:
Monday and Tuesday on-campus; Wednesday to Friday online
Cambridge courses, IELTS, EVS, Pron, EB, EAP:
Wednesday and Thursday on-campus; Monday, Tuesday and Friday online

EVENING STUDENTS:

All evening students: Monday and Tuesday on-campus; Wednesday to Friday online

All Counselling and activities remain online until further notice.

Speaking Club remains online on Wednesday and Thursday.

Sydney Pitt st. Campus:

Enter on Goulburn Street
Exit on Pitt Street
Lifts not operating

Sydney Mary st. Campus:

Enter on Mary st
Exit on Mary Lane
Lifts not operating

Melbourne Campus:

Enter on Spencer Street
Exit on Francis Street
Maximum of 5 people in a lift (arrive early to allow time to get to class)

We will regularly review the situation with an intention to move to full time classroom delivery in accordance with the Federal Government and State Governments’ 3 stage plan.
