Dear Student,

Greenwich College is fully committed to the safety and wellbeing of our students and the wider community, and want to reassure you that we have implemented the recommended safety precautions across all of our campuses based on the advice of the Australian Government and the Department of Health.

Today we have had our first confirmed case of a student who has contracted COVID-19. The student was studying at our Pitt Street campus.

It is very important to read the below information: 

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

  • As a precautionary health measure and on the recommendation of the Australian Department of Health, all Greenwich College campuses will close at 3:30pm today, Tuesday 17th March 2020. 

  • All of our campuses will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, with particular attention paid to the Pitt st. campus. 

  • All Greenwich College classes will move to 100% online delivery from next Monday, 23rd March. All students will be individually contacted to explain how to access online course delivery before the end of this week. 

  • We plan to re-open all Greenwich College campuses on Monday 6th April, unless we are directed otherwise by the Australian Government. 

  • We are pleased to confirm that all Greenwich English College students affected by the campus closure this week will be given one free week of classes. 

  • Student attendance will not be reported for the weeks affected by the campus  closures. Students are however expected to attend their online classes to maintain their academic progress and comply with visa requirements. 

  • Any fees related to CoE changes or deferrals will be waived in full during this campus closure period. 

  • All new students arriving to Australia from 16th March are required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days before commencing their studies.
